About MHSC

Founded in 1959, the Medicine Hat Skating Club has become a leader in the community.  Our stability results from the loyal dedication and hard work of many volunteers and amazing families that put their trust in us to help develop their child both on and off the ice to be the best they can be.  We continue to strive to expand our programs and offerings to the community and surrounding area.

We are proud of the Elite coaching staff we have here, who continually strives to expand their knowledge and provide the most cutting edge techniques to all our students.  Former National Champion and Head Coach Sarah Schmidek and Coach Jayden Picray share their love and passion for skating from their own successes on and off the ice.

The ultimate goal of our club is to help each skater maximize their skill potential, gain confidence, learn respect, achieve discipline and be inspired to be the best they can be. These are all attributes that will help them accomplish success in sport and in life.

At this club “We don’t just develop great skaters… We develop great people!”
